From West Palm Beach to Boca Raton, new dispensaries and physician certification offices are appearing at a pace that would have been unimaginable just a few years ago.

The Numbers Tell the Story

Florida's medical marijuana program has grown exponentially since voters approved Amendment 2 in 2016. The state now has hundreds of thousands of active medical marijuana cardholders, with Palm Beach County ranking among the top counties for patient registrations. "We're seeing patients who have tried every conventional therapy available come to us seeking relief," said one Palm Beach physician who recently added medical marijuana certifications to their practice. Qualifying Conditions

Under Florida law, medical marijuana may be recommended for a range of qualifying conditions including cancer, epilepsy, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, Crohn's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, PTSD, ALS, and chronic nonmalignant pain. Physicians must complete specific training and register with the state to issue certifications.
